What This Means

As a TWC‑exempt career school, Dean Training Institute is authorized to offer career training and professional development courses without holding a full Certificate of Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission. Our exemption applies to courses that meet the following criteria:

• Courses are 15 hours or less in length

• Tuition per course is less than $500

• Courses are offered for career training or professional development, not for academic credit toward a degree

Our CDA Credential Preparation Program is structured to meet these exemption requirements.

Regulatory Oversight

While exempt from full licensing, Dean Training Institute remains subject to the regulatory authority of the Texas Workforce Commission under Texas Education Code Chapter 132. We are committed to:

• Maintaining accurate student records

• Providing clear refund and cancellation policies

• Operating in compliance with all applicable state laws

• Responding to student complaints in a timely manner

Student Complaints

• If you have a concern about your training experience that cannot be resolved directly with the instructor, you may file a complaint with:

• Before contacting the TWC, please follow our [Grievance Procedure] to allow us the opportunity to address your concern directly.

• Not Eligible for Federal Title IV Aid

• As a TWC‑exempt career school, Dean Training Institute is not eligible to participate in federal Title IV financial aid programs (Pell Grants, student loans, etc.). Students are responsible for tuition and fees through payment plans or other arrangements.
